Marina Bay Sands

Marina Bay Sands is Singapore´s iconic resort. Luxury is the name of the game here, with a three-tower hotel topped by a ship-form unique construction, that holds a viewing deck (Skypark) and an infinity pool. Nearby, we find a beautiful museum with a roof shaped like a lotus flower.

The hotel, which opened in 2010, houses 2,560 rooms, a fancy casino, exclusive shops and restaurants, and a convention center. The Artscience Museum opened in February 2011 and is located on the Marina Bay Waterfront. As indicated by its name, it combines the subjects of art and science and is home to a permanent exposition in three of its 21 galleries.

Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay is a combination of plants from all over the world and the gigantic man-made trees called Supertrees. The Gardens were created to please locals and visitors with a place to relax and spend time away from the busy city life. They offer a beautiful sight from Skypark’s viewing deck. Check out the indoor waterfall in the Cloud Forest Dome, and the Cooled Conservatories. At night, don´t miss the spectacular show of the Supertrees coming alive with lighting.

Botanic Gardens

Featuring Singapore´s ancestral wildlife is nature lovers’ Botanic Gardens. With innumerable species of trees and tropical flora (including 3,000 orchids), the Gardens were recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2015. The place, founded in 1859, houses two lakes – Swan and Symphony – and the Jacob Ballas Children´s Garden, where children up to 14 learn about eco-systems. A walking trail through a small jungle leads the visitor to an encounter with the great variety of well-preserved Singapore trees. If you get hungry, two restaurants and a cafe are available in the Gardens.

Singapore Zoo

Singapore Zoo, also known as Mandai Zoo, is one of the world´s most impressive wildlife reserves. Open in 1973, the Zoo keeps over 300 species of animals in an environment resembling their natural habitats. Visitors can get very close to the animals but are separated from them by the glass or hidden barriers. It is very interesting to see all the activity when some animals are being fed. Tourists particularly enjoy watching the orangutans, kangaroos, and white tigers.

Aside from the Zoo itself, you´re welcome to three neighboring parks: Jurong Bird Park, the biggest of its kind in Asia; Night Safari, number one in Asia and where you can safely observe nocturnal animals; and River Wonders, featuring a river boat ride for you to watch different aquatic species.

Orchard Road

The National Museum of Singapore is a wonderful place to visit. Located near Orchard Road, its gallery exhibitions take you through the cultural and historic evolutions of Singapore and its citizens. After leaving the Museum, get ready to do a lot of shopping in the commercial center of Singapore. Plenty of malls and department stores; luxury hotels and boutiques; fancy pubs and restaurants, are expecting your visit to this world-class area.
