What can I buy at SimOptions?

SimOptions sells travel SIM Cards. Every prepaid SIM Card offer includes: Mobile internet and/or Phone calls and Text messages (please check details for each offer on the dedicated product page).

Is my payment safe?

We provide a full secure payment process (through Paypal, Stripe & AliPay).

We accept MasterCard, Visa, CB, JCB, American Express, Paypal and AliPay Accounts.

What payment options are available?

Currently we offer our customers to pay with international credit card and via PayPal.

Can I cancel my order?

SimOptions reserves the right to charge

a) 5 USD cancellation fee for orders that have not left our warehouse yet.

b) 15 USD cancellation fee + delivery cost for orders that have left our warehouse already.

c) up to 100% of the total order price if the product has been opened or damaged.

What kind of credit cards do you accept?

Generally we accept MasterCard, Visa, CB, JCB and American Express.

Delivery Questions

How can I track my order?

As soon as we send your product(s), we will send you the tracking code and a link to your tracking page by email (please also check you spam folder).

Which countries do you deliver to?

We deliver our products to more than 120 countries around the world. In addition, we offer pickup locations at multiple airports. For more details on Delivery Options please click here.

Please be aware that customs policies vary widely from country to country and custom fees can be applied by the country where you reside. All customs clearance fees must be paid by the customer. For further information please contact your local customs.

What is the difference between Express and Standard delivery?

Express delivery will be the fastest delivery mode and will provide a tracking code with details from shipping to delivery point. The parcel is insured if lost by the Postal Services.

Standard delivery will only provide the proof of shipping but no detailed tracking is available as with the Express delivery. If the package is lost by the postal service, no refund will be available.

Are roaming fees possible?

Our travel SIM Cards guarantee that no roaming fees are applied. Enjoy an easy connection at a local rate and master your mobile budget while traveling.

How to use a SIM Card?

Every SIM Card package includes a Tri-format SIM Card.

All SIM Cards work in any unlocked device. However, for specific details, please check out the product description of your chosen SIM Card.

Is the SIM Card compatible with my device?

You will receive a Tri-format SIM (standard, micro and nano).

Standard SIM (25x15mm)

Micro SIM (15x12mm)

Nano SIM (12.3×8.8mm)

Therefore, they are compatible with any device.

Please make sure your smartphone is unlocked and compatible with 3G and 4G to make sure the internet access will be available.

My SIM Card does not work. What shall I do?

If your SIM Card does not work we recommend you to check following things:

Is your data roaming activated on your phone?

Does your phone have the APN settings? (please refer to each SIM Cards’ APN setting in the manual provided)

How can I activate my SIM Card?

Most of the SIM Cards offered are pure plug & play. Slide them in and start using your data, calls and SMS. However, we recommend to check each product individually.

Do I need an ID card or passport to purchase a SIM Card?

No, you do not need an ID card or passport to purchase a SIM Card.

How can I check if my phone is unlocked?

Your phone is unlocked if the operation of your device is contractually not bound to a specific carrier. In case you are under a monthly contract it could be that your provider locks the phone into its network, meaning that it will not work with another carrier.

There are two ways to check:

1. Check Your Settings

iPhone: Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data

If you have an option for “Cellular Data Options” then your phone is already unlocked.

Android: Go to Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Operators

If you’re able to see other networks then it’s likely your phone is unlocked.

2. Contact your carrier

Mobile network use GSM band or CDMA band?

The CDMA is a technology widely used in the United States, Russia and some parts of Asia while GSM band is mostly used in Europe.

Can I keep my Whatsapp account with your SIM Cards?

If you travel abroad and switch to a Travel SIM Card, you can keep your Whatsapp account. In case you need to re-verify your Whatsapp account, you will need to do this with your original WhatsApp phone number though. We advise you to have the corresponding SIM card in your phone, with phone or SMS service enabled.

Can I buy your SIM Card and keep my old phone number?

No, if you buy a SIM Card package that includes calls and SMS you will also get a local phone number (please check details of SIM Card on product page). This means that you will be able to make cheap local calls and SMS.

In case you have a Dual SIM mobile phone, you are able to switch between your home and travel SIM carrier.
